Menstruating women, who are not likely to get pregnant, have a tendency to find themselves more attracted to men with softer features.

This is in accordance to a study "conducted by Japanese and Scottish researchers, published in the journal Nature". It looks to me that when a woman wants to get jiggy and produce spawn, she engages herself with testosterone-laden men. When she needs a shoulder to cry on, she opts for the sensitive, gentle variety. Genius.

I don't exactly know how this is going to help you in life, but at least the next time you get blown off by some girl, you can take comfort in the fact that she's probably ovulating. Or not.
